It’s taken quite awhile, but finally, Nintendo Wii owners can get Amazon Instant Video service on their console. Keep in mind, we’re talking about the 6-year-old Wii, not the new Wii U which already had the service. This opens up a new library of more than 140,000 movies and TV episodes for Wii owners, provided they’re Prime subscribers ($79/year, also includes free two-day shipping on all Amazon purchases). While still trailing Netflix in terms of subscribers and content, Amazon Instant Video is certainly keeping the pressure on. The service is now available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Roku streaming players, and a multitude of tablets and smart TVs. Ready to take the plunge? Setting up Amazon Instant Video on your Wii is pretty easy, too.
