‘Robocop Trilogy’ on sale for $16 at Amazon

OK, so you have about a year to get ready for the reboot of RoboCop, starring  Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, and Samuel L. Jackson. Yes, another remake. So how do you whittle away the time? Since constructing your own crime stopping robot suit might require a permit from the town zoning board, you might as well go to Plan B and pony up $15.99 for  the original trilogy. It’s on sale this week at Amazon. Those with ample memories will recall the trilogy was on sale in November 2010 for $25. At this pace, MGM will be paying you to take it off their hands in 2014. Peter Weller starred as the killed cop who gets one of the most high-tech extreme makeovers Ty Pennington has ever performed. While waiting for this three-disc collection, be sure to check out the trailer for the original flick from 1987. It features Robocop walking away from an explosion, robotic zingers like “Your move, creep” and Mr. Trailer himself, Don LaFontaine on the voiceover.
