If any film instilled a mass sense of fear over one animal it would be Steven Spielberg’s 1975 film Jaws. This coming Tuesday, Universal will release Jaws in high-definition for the first time on Blu-ray Disc. The multi-format combo pack will include a Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Copy, and UltraViolet access code to download or stream from the cloud. The digitally remastered film on Blu-ray includes a 7.1 channel soundtrack, showcasing the film’s Oscar-winning music score by John Williams. Extras on the BD include a new feature-length documentary, deleted scenes and outtakes, BD-Live, and pocket BLU. The high-definition release of Jaws to Blu-ray is part of Universal’s 100th anniversary this year. So, check it out in glorious 1080p and 7-channel sound. Just don’t be hatin’ on sharks after.
