DirecTV ‘TruTV’ brings March Madness in HD

DirecTV’s “big news” this week is TruTV launching in HD on March 7, just in time for the first bracket of games starting on March 13. From the looks of the TruTV schedule, the NCAA coverage will start with a one hour special on Selection Sunday, March 11. This news comes via the DirecTV Facebook page, where user comments reveal many TruTV subscribers excited about the college basketball coverage, but others upset the tournament interrupts regular programming of shows such as “Las Vegas Jailhouse” and “Lizard Lick Towing.” According to DirecTV, the company doesn’t have any other channels launching in high-definition this time.
