James Bond 23 called “Skyfall”

At a press conference in London producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli announced the next James Bond film, number 23 in the franchise, will be called “Skyfall.” Sam Mendes will direct the film which will be shot in locations such as Shanghai, China, Istanbul, and Scotland. Daniel Craig will return as James Bond, and Judi Dench as “M.” Other actors signed for “Skyfall” who appeared at the press conference included Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men”), Naomie Harris and Bérénice Marlohe — although details of their roles were not revealed. Eon Productions, MGM, and Sony Pictures produced the event. When “Skyfall” opens in 2012 it will be within days of the opening of Dr. No, a mere 50 years ago.
