Dish Network has launched high-definition (HD) channels in 14 additional local markets, bringing their total local hi-def coverage to 170 markets covering 96-percent of U.S. households.
Dish subscribers in the following markets can now get local channels in HD: Augusta, Ga.; Davenport, Iowa; Evansville, Ind.; Monroe, La.; Paducah, Ky.; Rochester, Minn.; San Angelo, Texas; Shreveport, La.; Wichita, Kan. and Wilmington, N.C.
On Aug. 18, DISH Network will launch local HD programming in Bangor, Maine; Macon, Ga.; Rochester, N.Y.; and Traverse City, Mich.
