Terrestrials are great; but extra terrestrials? Even better! E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Steven Spielberg's iconic 1982 gem about a boy and a semi-legal alien, finally comes to high definition this fall. The original theatrical version of the film will arrive on Blu-ray sometime in October with 1080p video and a 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. A DVD and digital copy of the film will also be included in the package. Pre-orders are at $24.49 right now at Amazon. It's another release tied into the promotion of Universal Studios' 100th anniversary, and this being the 30th anniversary of E.T., it's only fitting that it gets a worthy package of extra features.
