Westworld Season 3 will premiere during the first half of 2020, that according to HBO’s programming chief Casey Bloys who spoke with The Wrap yesterday. And although an exact premiere date was provided, we are at least one step closer to knowing what half of 2020 we’re looking towards. [Update 1/12/2020] HBO announced Season 3 will premiere on Sunday, March 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT
The official trailer for Season 3 premiered at Comic-Con just a few days ago, and the new footage reveals parallel worlds between a Nazi-occupied France and the new, futuristic world revealed in the teaser trailer for Season 3 that aired during the finale of Game of Thrones in May.
Many fans of the show were thrown by the new world the teaser introduced, as well as the lack of any signs of past characters. Rather, the teaser focused on new character Caleb played by Aaron Paul.
Unlike the teaser, however, the new official trailer proves at least the return of Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood), Maeve (Thandie Newton), Bernard (Jeffrey Wright), Charlotte (Tessa Thompson), and The Man in Black (Ed Harris).
The original teaser we linked to on YouTube, oddly enough, has been removed and can’t even be found on the HBO channel. Hopefully it shows up on this post we updated.
