Outlander is a fan-fave among Starz! subscribers, but even if you’re not a subscriber the show can be purchased in high definition on Blu-ray Disc, which is even higher quality than Starz! broadcasts.
Seasons 1 and 2 are already available on Blu-ray and DVD in multiple editions, and now we have a release date for Season 3 which just ended last December. All thirteen episodes will be available in both a 5-disc Limited Collector’s Edition (pictured above) or standard 5-disc edition on April 10, 2018.
Extras on the Blu-rays include deleted scenes, featurettes, deleted and extended scenes, and gag reel. Additional exclusive bonuses on the limited edition include four featurettes, additional scene with Lord John Grey & Lady Isobel Dunsany, cast testing with Caitriona & Sam, and Outlander Podcasts.
The Limited Collector’s Edition of Outlander Season 3 comes in special packaging and includes a 28-page book of behind-the-scenes photos. The limited edition also has exclusive extras such as two featurettes, gag reel, and deleted and extended scenes (see below for details).
Outlander Season 3 on Blu-ray is formatted in 1080p at 1.78:1 aspect ratio. The English audio is provided in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, along with French and Spanish audio in Dolby Digital 5.1.
The Outlander Season 3 Limited Collector’s Edition has a list price of $65.99 but is currently available to pre-order for $34.99 (47% off). The standard Blu-ray edition has an MSRP of $55.99 but is selling for $2999 (46% off). What is the better deal here? (See below for updated pricing.)
