Apple TV has added a bunch of movies in 4k & HDR since our last update, all of them sharing 2017 theatrical releases. The service usually sells 4k titles for $19.99, although sometimes you can get them as low as $9.99 (for example Flatliners (2017), pictured above, is currently $9.99 UHD).
Apple 4k movies are only viewable on the Apple TV 4k model that was released last fall. However, HDR-enabled titles can be viewed on HDR-capable Apple devices including the iPhone and newer models. (See a list of mobile devices that support HDR.)
Most 4k movies from Apple include High Dynamic Range using Dolby Vision or HDR10, the two predominant HDR specifications in the US, but keep an eye out for HDR10+, the improved metadata standard that has been adopted by several TV manufacturers and video services.
