On Tuesday, July 25th the sixth and final season of HBO’s hit series Girls will release to Blu-ray and DVD. It will be a sad day for fans of the Lena Dunham series, but a good day for anyone who wants to complete their Blu-ray disc collection of Girls and enjoy exclusive new bonus content such as an extended version of ‘A Goodbye to Girls’ with never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage, ‘Inside the Episodes’ featurettes, and more.
With a total run time of approximately 340 minutes, the 2-disc Blu-ray combo edition from HBO includes Digital HD copies of the season redeemable with UltraViolet partners.
The two Girls Season 6 Blu-ray discs are formatted in 1080p with a 1.78:1 aspect ratio, with a soundtrack in 24-bit DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. Subtitles are offered in English, SDH, French, Spanish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish.
Finally over discs? The Digital HD versions of Girls Season 6 have been available since May 15, 2017.
Synopsis
In the sixth and final season of *Girls*, HBO’s hit comedy continues to
follow the assorted humiliations and triumphs of a group of 20-something
friends in NYC. Season 6 picks up six months after the end of Season 5,
with Hannah (Dunham), enjoying new success as a writer while her roommate
and bestie Elijah (Andrew Rannells) considers getting serious about his
acting career. Marnie (Allison Williams), now in a relationship with Ray
(Alex Karpovsky), seeks to maintain her independence post-divorce from Desi
(Ebon Moss-Bachrach).
