Although not labeled a sci-fi, Peter Chelsom’s The Space Between Us spends a lot of time off-planet, with the premise of the movie being that the first human to be born on Mars finally sees Earth for the first time.
The Space Between Us hits stores on Blu-ray and DVD, May 16th, after being previously released early to Digital HD. The 2-disc Blu-ray combo includes a Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD copy that can be redeemed from iTunes and Ultraviolet partners.
In addition to the Digital HD copy, extra bonus material includes an alternate ending, deleted scenes, “Love” featurette, and feature commentary with director Peter Chelsom.
The Blu-ray is formatted in 1080p at 2.40:1 aspect ratio with an English DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 soundtrack.
The Space Between Us carries an MSRP of $34.99, but is currently available to pre-order for $22.50.
