DirecTV is currently offering a free preview of the HD Extra Pack from Nov. 16 through Nov. 22. The HD Extra Pack is a bundle of hi-def channels that usually costs $4.99 per month and includes networks such as Hallmark Movie Channel, MGM HD, ShortsHD, Sony Movie Channel HD, and Universal HD. The high-definition choices can be found from Channel 565 through 573 on the DirecTV guide.
Want some programming highlights? On Saturday, Sony Movie Channel is playing The Final Countdown starring Kirk Douglas at 11:20 am; HDNet Movies is playing Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief at 7:00 pm; and, MGM HD is playing Dangerous Game starring Harvey Keitel at 11:00 pm.
On Sunday, Universal HD is playing Robin Hood (2010) at 2:00 pm; HDNet Movies is playing XXX followed by XXX: State of the Union starting at 3:05 pm; and, MGM HD is playing Quantum of Solace at 5:00 pm.
