Game of Thrones Season 6 has already been released to Digital HD, but the 4-disc Blu-ray edition holds plenty of extra bonus material that’s must-have for diehard GOT fans.
Among the Blu-ray exclusives is the traditional “In-Episode Guide” that provides more information about the characters, locations and histories that are on screen.
But there’s also an exclusive bo titled “Histories and Lore” about the mythology of Westeros and Essos. The bonus material is comprised of 18 sections in which a different character tells their perspective. For example, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) talks about the northern allegiances to House Stark, and Brother Ray (Ian McShane) discusses the War of the Ninepenny Kings.
The Blu-ray edition of Game of Thrones Season 6 also includes audio commentaries in each of the ten episodes from characters, crew and director Miguel Sapochnik, four deleted scenes (previously released), and several featurettes including “The Battle of the Bastards,” “Recreating the Dothraki World,” and “18 Hours at the Paint Hall.”
The 4-disc Blu-ray edition of Game of Thrones: The Complete Sixth Season from HBO Studios also includes digital copies through several services including UltraViolet, iTunes, and Google Play.
