TV providers offer previews of Encore, EPIX, Starz channels

Many cable and satellite television providers are offering free previews of Encore, EPIX, and Starz channels this weekend. While several previews started yesterday, most the free preview periods started today, March 27th and will end on March 29th. Other preview periods extend several days into April. For example, the preview of EPIX is scheduled to last one week through next Friday, April 3rd.

Highlights during this weekend’s free previews include the EPIX Original “Katy Perry: The Prismatic World Tour” that will premiere on Saturday, March 28th at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Also this weekend, the second season finale of the Starz original series “Black Sails” will air at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Saturday.

Participating TV providers include AT&T U-verse, Bright House, Century Link, Comcast Xfinity TV, Cox, DirecTV, Dish, and Verizon FIOS, among others. Check your channel guide and TV provider’s message board to see if there is a free preview going on for you.

For those who aren’t getting the free EPIX preview, the network provides a form to request a free 14-day preview on their Web site.
