Barnes & Noble reduces NOOK HD and HD+ pricing this week

Nook_HD+_US_Google_Play_appsBarnes & Noble has reduced the price of the NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ tablets this week through June 16. The special pricing is in celebration of Father’s Day and drops prices up to 44% off (NOOK HD+ 16GB). Both tablets from Barnes & Noble support Android apps and games from GooglePlay, YouTube, Google Maps, and Gmail. For web browsing, the NOOK HD tablets utilize the Google Chrome browser. The NOOK HD features a 7″ display at 720p, while the NOOK HD+ boasts a larger 9″ display with up to 1080p playback resolution.

The NOOK HD 8GB configuration is currently selling for $129 (List: $199), while the 16GB model is priced $149 (List $229). Both models are available in either Snow or Smoke finish.

The NOOK HD+ 16GB configuration (regularly priced $269), is currently priced at $149. The 32GB is $179 (List: $299). The NOOK HD+ is only available in Slate finish.
