If you’re at CES in Las Vegas this week be sure to check out Samsung’s unveiling of “The Wall,” a 146-inch MicroLED TV that uses modules and bezel-less design so owners can make any final grid or shape they want.
The TV uses MicroLED and self-emitting technology that has no restrictions on size, resolution or form. The technology uses micrometer (µm) scale LEDs, much smaller than current LEDs, that serve as their own source of light.
“As the world’s first consumer modular MicroLED television, ‘The Wall’ represents another breakthrough,” said Jonghee Han, President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.
Samsung is also showing off the world’s first QLED TV featuring 8K AI upscaling technology. The technology uses a proprietary algorithm to adjust screen resolution based on the image quality characteristics of each scene.
Samsung’s CES booth #15006 can be found on Level 1 of the Central Hall in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
