  1. You need a television that can display high-definition video, as well as a cable or satellite subscription that includes HD programming, in order to receive HD channels. You might also need to get an HD-capable cable box or satellite receiver to view HD material.

  2. You want free TV that has a lot more action and runs on your internet, which is 1/3 less than what you pay for cable. Spend $29.95 on a Roku. Lots of bad channels, and the ones you pay for are still worse than the ones you get for free. Thank you for the aadvive. Get gid of netgeat. They may charge you too much to hook it up and keep it connected to your device. Good look rveryone

  3. Well the cscble are trying to get rid of the net get and get you to buy their full package of notnimg but junk yb anc rdpeats of the same movies that they run for e to my months stright. Tv is very boring

  5. The difference is the way the frames are distributed in the video signal. 1080i (interlaced) has frames that overlap and tend to be a bit more smooth for motion imagery. 720p (progressive) are full frames that contain a full image and tend to be sharper. Studios and content providers may be set up to distribute either, but it always comes down to the local station or TV provider and what they broadcast. The major networks are just about split on 720p/1080i. Here is a reference: https://hd-report.com/hdtv-basics/why-hdtv/

  6. Why does 720p and 1080i co exist? For instance why does Disney decide on 720p over 1080i? Is one format cheaper to use? Does one offer a PQ advantage?

    • 720p is used simply because its better for faster motion and theres no interlacing lines. 1080i has more pixels but suffers from interlacing
