Want to know what happened to Showtime channel? Paramount Global-owned Showtime officially merged with Paramount+ on June 27, 2023. The long-running network that launched in 1976 will end a 47 year run in 2023.

But the network not going away completely, but rather merged into the subscription-based Paramount+ as Paramount+ with Showtime. That means you can still stream Showtime Originals such as American Gigolo, First Wives Club, and Your Honor but only through Paramount+ with Showtime. The bundled channel service costs $11.99 per month.

The Paramount+ with Showtime bundle originally launched in mid-2022 and cost $9.99 per month. The Paramount+ Essential Plan without Showtime costs $5.99 per month.

What about cable/satellite Showtime subscribers? According to sources, the standalone Showtime channel(s) and Showtime Anytime apps for cable subscribers will be shut down by the end of 2023.
