Early in 2017, the Ultra HD Alliance released specifications for Mobile HDR Premium, a new standard for HDR on mobile devices including phones, tablets and laptops. Those standards include 10-bit color depth on displays, a minimum of pixels per degree, color space (which may vary from smaller devices like tablets and smartphones to larger screens on laptops), and maximum bit-depth.
