Here’s a list of available 4k channels on DirecTV. 4k TV provides a video resolution of 3840 × 2160 and 8.3 megapixels, which in effect is four-times the current HD standard of 1920 x 1080 and 2.1 megapixels. Some 4k broadcasts also offer HDR (High Dynamic Range) via the HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) spec — an integrated metadata specification that increases the color depth and range of contrast allowing for even more detail in images.
