Did you know you can watch HDR content on your iPhone or iPad even if it isn’t 4k resolution? It’s true! iPhone 8 or later and certain iPad Pro models will play HDR10 or Dolby Vision formats. And, certain iPads can play movies and shows in 4k resolution as well as HDR formats. See the reference chart below for specific models.
For watching on bigger screens, 4k/HDR content can be played on Apple TV 4k models connected to compatible 4k HDR TVs. For high-quality immersive audio, Apple TV 4k supports Dolby Atmos and will play correctly on a supporting audio system (See Dolby Atmos systems on Amazon).
And, Apple AirPlay will allow playback of 4k/HDR content on compatible 4k HDR TVs. See the chart below for more details.
