‘Diablo 3′ gets May 15 release date
After years of development time rumors about release dates, the hell of Diablo III will finally be unleashed in just two months, May 15 to be exact. Blizzard Entertainment says the digital version of the long awaited hack and slash sequel is available for pre-order right now through Battle.net for $59.99. A boxed release and a $99.99 collector’s edition will also be available come mid-May.

Using Kinect to control Skyrim
Check out this video of YouTube user KinectFAAST who uses Kinect technology to control gestures in Skyrim on the PC. The program, called FAAST, is middleware that runs on the OpenNI framework. The OpenNI framework doesn’t support voice so the guy uses VAC (Voice Activated Commands) software to convert spoken words to keystrokes via a RazorFish bluetooth headset.
Star Wars: The Old Republic beta draws 2 million ahead of Dec. 20 release

With plenty of blood, violence and gore Rage takes you into a post-apocalyptic world called the Wasteland. For gamers who get excited about detailed environments, Rage is loaded with texture. According to id Software President Todd Hollenshead, the extensive details in the game are possible because textures are streamed in to avoid being constrained by system memory. If you haven’t seen Rage yet here’s your chance to get a look. And, those of you with PS3 consoles should be able to download the Rage demo from the PlayStation Network on December 6. Rage carries an MSRP of $59.99 but this Black Friday weekend you’ll be able to find it from various retailers for $29.99. Rage is published by Bethesda Softworks and was released for Xbox 360, PS3, and Windows PCs on October 4, 2011.
Modern Warfare 3 makes $400 million, sets entertainment record
Once again, the juggernaut that is Call of Duty has carpet-bombed the entertainment industry with its first-day sales. Activision says Modern Warfare 3 sold 6.5 million copies in the U.S. and U.K. last Tuesday, earning some $400 million dollars.
