This week a Battlefield 3 patch will launch for PlayStation 3 which allows console gamers to rent their own dedicated server for online multiplay.
Electronic Arts has committed the Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand digital expansion pack to release on December 6 for PlayStation 3, and December 13 for Xbox and PC users. If you remember, the PlayStation 3 “Limited Edition” of Battlefield 3 promised a free copy of the ‘Karkand’ pack one week before Xbox and PC users are able to get it.
If you’ve seen a heavyweight title fight, you know the challenger always arrives first. Today, that challenger is Battlefield 3 ($59.99), EA and Dice’s hotly anticipated first-person shooter for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Electronic Arts and DICE officially announced Battlefield 3 will be available in two versions that include a Standard Edition and Limited Edition. The Standard Edition will feature a single-player campaign and 10 co-op maps and multiple multiplayer modes.
