Comcast doubles internet speeds in California

How often do you get something you can use for free? Comcast has announced they are doubling the speeds of two XFINITY internet service plans at no additional charge to customers. The Blast! plan is increasing from 25 Mbps to 50 Mbps download (10 Mbps upstream), while the Extreme 50 plan is increasing from 50 Mbps to 105 Mbps download (20 Mbps upstream). If you’re subscribed to the XFINITY Performance plan, you won’t be left in the cold as Comcast has initiated an increase in speed from 15 Mbps to 20 or 25 Mbps download (4 or 5 Mbps upstream). Daytime and late night programming is available one day after broadcast, but you’ll have to wait a full eight days to stream primetime shows.
