HBO Go is a hot ticket these days, and Time Warner Cable subscribers are not getting left at home. TWC has launched a beta test of the HBO Go and MAX Go services, giving subscribers access to HBO and Cinemax content online. SignatureHome customers were invited via email to try out the services during the beta period which should last for several days. (See below for links to the beta tests.)
Cablevision and HBO have partnered to offer HBO GO and MAX GO to iO TV customers who subscribe to HBO and/or Cinemax. The new agreement between the two companies means that subscribers will soon be able to access HBO and Cinemax content on a PC, Apple iPad, iPhone, or iTouch device, as well as supported Android tablets and smartphones. Cablevision didn’t give an exact date, but indicated the added service would roll out in the next few months.
Dish Network has announced HBO GO and MAX GO are now available at DISHOnline.com, which offers much of its streaming content in high definition quality. Titles from the premium channels such as Avatar, The Hangover, and True Blood are among the 1,800 on-demand movies and TV shows offered online.
HBO Go, the streaming service that carries about 1,400 titles in SD (standard-definition) & HD (high-definition), is now available for DirecTV subscribers online. Customers can simply use their DirecTV username/password to log-in and access the content.
HBO Go (hbogo.com), a new online service providing movies and TV shows at no additional charge to HBO subscribers, launched exclusively for Verizon FiOS TV customers. The streaming MPEG-4 video format (delivered via Flash media) will stream at either 1.2 Mbps or 2.6 Mbps depending on your connection speed.
