Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks will soon carry Redefine Life TV (RLTV), a channel that delivers original content related to healthcare, finance, travel, and lifestyle. The network is currently available in 15 million homes, but the Time Warner/Bright House deal could bring that number up to 25 million when launched this December. RLTV’s call letters originally stood for “Retirement Living,” but the network changed it to “Redefine Life” in an attempt to attract more viewers (not just retirees, or wanna-be retirees for that matter). “Stanley on the Go,” “Danger Zone,” and “Healthline” are a few of the shows RLTV broadcasts. Does this mean another HD channel in the lineup? Unfortunately, from what we can gather RLTV is only broadcast in 480i standard resolution. The network was launched in launched in 2006 by John C. Erickson, CEO and Chairman of Erickson Retirement Communities.
Bright House Networks recently launched Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes in Southern California markets, bringing Los Angeles Lakers, Galaxy, and Sparks games to customers in those areas. The channels are available in both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) for subscribers with Standard or Digital Variety service. Time Warner Cable SportsNet can be found on channels 113 (SD) and 1113 (HD), while Time Warner Cable Deportes can be found on channel 631 and 1631 (HD). Bright House says Time Warner Cable SportsNet will also be available to non-digital (analog) customers beginning Oct. 30 on on channel 23.

Bright House Networks has launched ESPN 3D in Detroit and Indianapolis, giving customers access to sports events in 3D such as football, basketball, and baseball among others. EPSN recently broadcast the Little League World Series in 3D during the month of August. Bright House customers will, of course, need a 3D HDTV, compatible 3D glasses, and a Bright House 3D Pass service.
Bright House Networks has added truTV HD just in time for the NCAA tournament’s first two games tonight at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Eastern Time. March Madness kicks off first with UNC Asheville vs. Arkansas Little Rock followed by UAB vs. Clemson.

Disney/ABC, ESPN and Time Warner Cable have finally come to a long term agreement, releasing an official press release late yesterday afternoon announcing the details. The agreement extends current distribution arrangements and adds new programming from ESPN Goal Line, ESPN Buzzer Beater, Disney Junior (launching 2012), and ESPN3.com.
Time Warner Cable’s new long term deal with Disney/ABC and ESPN will bring two new sports networks to TWC’s HD channel lineup. ESPN 3D will be added to Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks’ hi-def lineup. And, Spanish language ESPN Deportes HD will also be added to TMC’s larger markets.
It didn’t take long for other carriers to get in on the NASCAR 3D action. Two days after NASCAR announced DIRECTV would carry the Coke Zero 400 race on July 3, Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Bright House have been added to the list of carriers. The coverage will be presented in TNT’s Wide Open widescreen letterbox format free of commercial breaks. The broadcast will feature two custom 3D feeds – one from various 3D cameras set up along the track and the other capturing pit crew action.
Brighthouse announced it plans to reach 100 HD channels next month. The cable provider will add 17 hi-def channels to its current 67 channel lineup this Thursday, and another 24 on Dec. 17. This news comes via the Orlando Sentinel.

Good news for Orlando residents as Bright House Networks will add 15 HD channels to its digital-cable customers on Sept. 5. The news comes from the Orlando Sentinel who reported the cable company will reach a total of 64 high-definition channels, closer to their goal of 100 by year’s end.
Fearnet has been dropped by both Time Warner Cable and Bright House, that according to an article from Home Media Magazine. The horror film-based VOD channel has featured films such as Wishmaster, The Evil Dead, Halloween, Friday the 13th and Saw on its free VOD service.
