We heard last night that TNT has cancelled their crime/drama series “Murder in the First” after three seasons. The show, created by Steven Bochco and Eric Lodal, debuted with over 3 million viewers but ended its third season on September 4th with just over 1 million views.

“Murder in the First” stars Taye Diggs, Kathleen Robertson and Ian Anthony Dale. The series was nominated for two awards including a Golden Maple Award for Best Actress in a TV Series (Kathleen Robertson) and an Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series (Taye Diggs).

Co-creator Steven Bochco is apparently working on a reboot of the classic series “L.A. Law” at 20th Century Fox Television
