Verizon still on top in Netflix streaming rankings

Netflix has released its ISP Speed Index for the month of February, 2015. The index rates Internet Service Providers in terms of providing the best Netflix streaming experience, using picture quality, load times, and network lag in determining the rankings.

In the US, Verizon’s FiOS service once again provided the best Netflix streaming experience with an average speed of 3.53 Megabits per second (Mbps), followed by Cablevision’s Optimum service at 3.47 Mbps.

Of note from last month’s ratings Charter Communications jumped two spots to the sixth position with an average speed of 3.29 Mbps.

AT&T U-verse, Mediacom, and Time Warner Cable all fell one position in ranking. Windstream Communications fell two spots.
