Netflix pretends to use drones for disc drops

Want that DVD copy of Norbit to come falling out of the sky? With Netflix’ new ‘Drone to Home’ service, it’s a piece of cake!

OK, so you’ve figured it out. It’s a spoof. Is it a little zing at Amazon? Perhaps. You’ll recall Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos telling 60 Minutes in December that the company plans to start delivering packages to customers via drones. It should be noted, there are some who insist that the whole drone thing is just a far-fetched myth aimed at generating buzz for Amazon.

Maybe Netflix is in that camp, eh?
