Samsung launches Olympics Sochi 2014 app for mobile devices

Samsung has launched the Sochi 2014 WOW app for keeping up-to-date on the 2014 Winter Olympics from Sochi, Russia. The Android-based app provides information such as event schedules, scores, athletes, countries, medals, and other real-time data from the Winter Olympics. The app also lets users personalize information by setting favorites and alerts. The Sochi 2014 WOW “Wireless Olympic Works” app was developed by Winter Olympic Games sponsor Samsung Electronics Co.,Ltd, and optimized for Samsung Mobile. The app was launched on Feb. 11, 2014, and file size varies according to device. You can download it free-of-charge from the Google Play Store, located in the store’s Sports category.

NBC has its own set of apps to bring the Winter Olympic Games to tablets and mobile devices, including the NBC Sports Live Extra app, NBC Olympics Highlights app, and NBC Sports Talk app, all of which are compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows 8 devices (with the exception of NBC Sports Talk which is currently not available for Windows 8).
