1,000 hours of Sochi Winter Olympics to stream from NBC

This year NBC plans to provide over 1,000 hours of live streaming content from the XXII Olympic Winter Games, including events from all 15 sports – a first for the Winter Olympics. As well as individual sporting events, the opening ceremony, award ceremonies, and closing ceremony will also be streamed over the internet. The TV Everywhere initiative from NBC will give viewers who authenticate their accounts at NBCOlympics.com access to the streams from PCs, smartphones, tablets and other supported devices. The XXII Olympic Winter Games from Sochi, Russia will begin on February 6 with the opening ceremony, and the closing ceremony will be held February 23, 2014. NBC also announced today that NBC Sports Network (NBCSN) will offer over 230 hours of the Sochi Olympics on traditional broadcast television. A total of 73 nations will participate in the 2014 Winter Olympics with at least one athlete.
