Universal Studios has announced the release date for “Defiance: Season One” on Blu-ray Disc, DVD and UltraViolet will be October 15, 2013. For a limited time only, “Defiance: Season One” will available in collectible lenticular packaging.
Bonus features on both the Blu-ray Disc and DVD include deleted scenes, gag reel, and three featurettes titled: “Defiance: A Transmedia Revolution,” “Making Defiance,” and “Behind the Scenes with Jesse Rath.”
Total run-time of the 3-disc boxed set is 9 hours and 32 minutes.
“Defiance: Season One” on Blu-ray Disc carries an MSRP of $69.99. The DVD edition lists for $59.99.
The “Defiance” series comes from Syfy and the producers of “Battlestar Galactica,” “Caprica,” and “Farscape.” The series is the first to combine television and a multi-platform video game.
