VUDU launches beta In-Home Disc-to-Digital service

vudu-disc-to-digital-promoVUDU has launched their In-Home Disc-to-Digital service that lets you convert your DVDs or Blu-ray Discs to digital files that you can store in the cloud. DVDs and Blu-rays cost $2 per conversion, and are added to your VUDU and UltraViolet account to be streamed or downloaded at-will. The service also gives you the option to upgrade your standard-definition DVDs to 1080p HDX for $5. The VUDU service (currently only available for select titles) runs on a desktop application for Windows PC or Mac (sorry Linux users). You might think about giving VUDU’s new service a try, especially since they’re converting your first disc on-the-house (well, at least any conversion that’s $2 bucks).
