VUDU now supported on Android tablets

Here’s a bit of holiday cheer for Android tablet owners. VUDU is now supported on select tablets including the Google Nexus 7, Google Nexus 10, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T. With the app you can watch rented or purchased movies from VUDU, as well as access your UltraViolet collection. VUDU’s app for Android is free to download from the Google Play Store (just do a search for “vudu”). VUDU says more Android tablets and additional devices will be announced soon.

VUDU movies are only available in SD (480p) from Android and iOS tablets, although the service provides HD (720p), and HDX (1080p) through other devices.

The VUDU Player app for Apple iPhone and iPad were released in January, 2012.

  1. I can’t watch any of my vudu shows on my new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Very disappointing! I guess I’ll uninstall the app and watch Netflix instead.
