Does Jeremy Renner turn down any roles? Paramount Pictures has just released the first trailer for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters slated to hit theaters on January 11, 2013. Along with Renner who plays Hansel, ‘Witch Hunters’ co-stars Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace) as Gretel in this action/horror film that was directed by Tommy Wirkola. Our favorite “X-Woman” Famke Janssen also stars in the film as the witch leader Muriel. We’re a bit weary that ‘Witch Hunters’ was shot in 3D, but the trailer looks pretty good and heck the movie already has its own Wikipedia page. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Looks fun…hope there’s a bit more of a darker/serious side to it not seen in the trailer, though I won’t hold my breath. Reminds me of Van Helsing, which also had a more lighter tone to it…fun, but a bit chaotic in it’s pacing imo
Will see it, and probably think its; “ok”, I enjoy Renner as an actor…so there’s that.
Will NOT be seeing it in 3D, hate it! The film is normally a darker, more muddied/muted tone and the effects are much more distracting than enjoyable. Would much rather simply watch and enjoy films without a gimmick.
Someday someone will make the movie of this type I want to really see…basically Hansel & Gretel meets Hostel ;)
