Verizon FiOS TV customers now get Tennis Channel HD

Verizon FiOS TV customers will now get Tennis Channel HD again, after the channel was dropped last summer during the U.S. Open tournament. Tennis Channel HD will be available to customers who subscribe to the FiOS TV Ultimate HD package and premium Sports Packages. Tennis HD will cover Wimbledon, as well as the U.S. Open, French Open, Australian Open, Davis Cup, Fed Cup, and the men’s and women’s year-end championships.

The channel is now available to customers who previously subscribed to the channel in the Texas, Florida, California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and upstate New York FiOS TV markets and all other FiOS markets starting Wednesday Jan. 18. For those customers who were not subscribed  to Tennis Channel before it was dropped, Verizon will roll the channel to additional markets throughout the year.

“We’re happy to be back in front of Verizon subscribers,” said Patrick Wilson, senior VP of distribution.

Verizon says they now have over 540 all-digital channels and more than 140 HD channels.
