Here's one of The Hobbit's production diary in which Peter Jackson talks about shooting the film in 3D with the RED EPIC camera. Because the lenses are so large, one camera actually shoots a mirror image to achieve the 1" space between angles which simulates human vision.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 has been released on Blu-ray and DVD today. The unconventional Friday release date (most DVDs and Blu-rays release on Tuesdays), follows 'Deathly Hallows Part 1' which released on a Friday last April.
