Sony’s announces 4k home theater projector
Sony has announced a new 4k home theater projector that will list for under $25k. The projector which boasts 4-times the resolution of HD will be available to professional installers this December. Under Sony’s ES (Elevated Standard) series, the VPL-VW1000ES features 2,000 ANSI-lumens, 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast, 4k upscaling, and the capability of displaying up to 200 inches diagonally without losing quality.
“With its truly advanced resolution, the new VPL-VW1000ES 4K home theater projector delivers on the promise of the future of home entertainment – today,” said Mike Abary, senior vice president of Sony Electronics’ Home Division.
