Sony will offer PlayStation Network subscribers free games as a "thank you" for sticking with them during the long network outage. Time Warner Cable is now offering 175 HD channels in the New York City area, that according to the company and Broadcasting & Cable who broke the news yesterday. New hi-def channels include Bloomberg HD, ESPN Deportes HD, FEARnet HD, Fox Deportes HD, GMC HD, Lifetime HD, Oprah Winfrey Network HD, Oxygen HD, and WGN America HD.

This week in Blu-ray brings us some Justin Bieber, a few Criterion releases as well as a solid classic from Fox. The rest of the bunch... well, it depends on what your interests are and if what you consider a value in Blu-ray titles that may or may not have a terrific transfer behind them (most don’t... so, caveat emptor).
