Cox adds 13 HD channels in N. Virginia

cox_logo_137x137Cox Communications has added 13 more high-definition channels to its lineup in Northern Virginia (NOVA) market. The cable provider now hosts 78 HD channels in the area, and the new additions include such networks as MSNBC HD, TMC HD, Disney HD and BBC America HD.

“We’re giving customers more of the crystal clear, high-quality HD programming they really want, from movies to sports, local channels and even premium channels,” said Janet Barnard, senior vice president and general manager for Cox Northern Virginia. “And with no HD programming access fee like many other companies charge, Cox makes it affordable to get HD.”

Cox says that if you include video-on-demand selections they now offer 365 HD choices to customers.

The new HD additions in Northern Virginia include:

  • MSNBC HD
  • BET HD
  • ABC Family HD
  • Disney HD
  • HBO2 HD
  • More Max HD
  • TMC HD
  • Encore HD
  • Tennis Channel HD
  • Investigation Discovery HD
  • BBC America HD
  • Starz Edge HD
  • Disney XD HD
