Sony & Amazon sweepstakes pushes Blu-ray

The Sony Hi-Def Sweepstakes promoting Blu-ray is running until Jan. 18, 2009. The grand prize is a Sony BDP-S550 Blu-ray player with your choice of 5 Sony Music Blu-ray titles and 10 Sony Blu-ray titles. First place prize is a Playstation 3 with LittleBigPlanet and Resistance 2.

Second place prize is a one-of-a-kind autographed Blu-ray disc mounted on a plaque with a copy of the title. Autographed by who? The promotion didn’t say. But I guess you would hope it would be autographed by the stars or director of the movie.

Finally, there are 10 third place prizes of a copy of Hancock on Blu-ray.
