What is the ring of death? It is when 3 red lights show up around the gaming consoles power button indicating a fatal hardware error. The Xbox 360 has had some faulty units, the ring of death showing up just under the manufacturer’s 1 year warranty.
BBC Watchdog does a show on the problematic Xbox, in which they looked at 250 complaints. Customers are not happy with the Microsoft product, which they say should last a lot longer. We’ll see if a year from now there are similar problems with the PS3, or does the Sony unit’s higher price tag ensure more stability? Only time will tell.
